Drinking Chalky Stuff

We took Morgan to the doctor yesterday to figure out why she has been spitting up and the doctor suggested an x-ray be done to rule out pyloric stenosis. Her appointment was 9:30 this morning. She couldn't have anything to eat 4 hours before so the last time we fed her was 3 this morning. I thought she was going to be extremely fussy this morning but to our amazement, she wasn't! Clint went back with Morgan to have the x-ray done. The x-ray techs. gave her a bottle of barium to drink. The barium reflects the x-rays, and as she drinks it, it lets the doctor see her esophogus, stomach, and small intestine. The doctor is looking for any blockage between the stomach and small intestine. The barium is a chalky liquid. So anyway, the x-ray showed that she does not have any blockage, which is what pyloric stenosis is. This is the good news, but the bad news is she has a lot of reflux. We are waiting for the doctor to call us now to see what we need to do. Our doctor did give us some meds. yesterday to help with the spitting up, so right now we have that to get us by, although, we have not seen any improvement with it yet.
